Leveraging the company’s production released 1394b (Firewire) devices, intellectual property and advance design methodologies, Symwave is developing a suite of “SuperSpeed” universal serial bus (USB) products. These products currently in development are expected to begin production in the second half of 2009.

Superspeed USB 3.0 delivers advancements including higher transfer rates, lower overall system power consumption, advanced power management features and maintains backwards compatibility with the more than 10 billion legacy USB enabled devices shipped to date. USB 3.0 based end market products including PCs, USB hubs, docking stations, external storage and many others will emerge by year end 2009 and throughout 2010.
